We are very pleased to announce that all the Instructors at Diamond Drive are Fully Qualified. You may not be aware but other Driving Schools may employ Instructors who are not actually fully qualified which means they haven’t completed all the qualifying exams.

If your Instructor is Fully qualified then they will have a licence like the one below.

If they are not fully Qualified then their Certificate will look like the one below.

Many Instructors will not readily admit to being a Trainee as the Driving Schools still charge the same lesson Price as if you were being trained by someone who is fully qualified. Many People think this is unfair

Another problem that may arise if you are being taught by a trainee is that their licences only lasts for 6 months and if they fail the final qualifying exam then they will have to give up teaching immediately. This could leave you having to find yourself another Instructor.

Lisa qualified 11 years ago and after 2 years working for a Driver Instructor Training Organisation, formed Diamond Drive in 1997. Lisa is due to move to France with her family in August 2006 but will still be actively involved in the running of Diamond Drive.

Unfortunately, she will be unable to carry out any Driving Lessons or Instructor training.

Latest News Russ is very pleased to announce that he is now able to offer extensive training and practice in using the Latest Sat Nav equipment. His new Tom-Tom has now been installed in his tuition vehicle and already it has proved very popular with his existing clients. Training can also be given to Fully Qualified drivers . Don't be left behind by today's technology.

Russ has been a qualified Driving Instructor since October 1995 and he drives a Brand New Dark Blue Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4 TDCI with air-conditioning, numerous safety features and dual controls. Russ covers Totton, Cadnam, Ashurst, West Wellow, Romsey, Lyndhurst, Marchwood and The Waterside, Shirley and Millbrook. He is a very experienced Driving Instructor with a calm and easy going nature. Russ works from 7.30 am - 7.00 pm on Monday, 9.30am to 7.00pm on Tuesday, 1.30pm to 7.00pm on Wednesday and Thursday and 9.30am to 6.00pm on Friday. He can also do the occasional Saturday morning. Russ is also Pass Plus registered (see our page on Pass Plus information which can entitle you to cheaper car insurance). When he is not teaching he enjoys spending time with his daughter Amelia, swimming and going to the Gym. He is also a very keen Saints supporter. His responsibilities include updating the Diamond Drive Website, and the promotional side of the company. Russ enjoys being a Driving Instructor because "Passing the driving test changes peoples lives completely". Terry has, unfortunately left the Driving Instructor Industry to follow a new career path.

Sarah has been teaching for 22 years, and has been the highest grade that you can be for that entire time. She is lively and bubbly, very down to earth and loves teaching. She is very highly qualified, she trains people to become driving instructors, teaches advanced driving, and teaches learners too. Her qualifications include ADI Grade 6, Cardington, RoSPA (Gold), IAM, City&Guilds 730 and Cert.Ed. for Adults. If you want to have an interesting, educational but cheerful lesson, look no further!!"

She covers the Winchester and Forest Hills Test areas and is also our Driving Instructor Trainer. Working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm she uses a VW Golf.
